Slash: No Jack White On Solo Album
Jack White has declined an offer to play on Slash's debut solo effort, according to the Velvet Revolver and former Guns N' Roses guitarist.
Slash has been collaborating with a wide array of musical guests for his Slash & Friends, due out early next year. Such contributors include Dave Grohl, Flea and Alice Cooper.
The guitarist recently admitted that he was really hoping to work with Jack White, who with a fledgling record label and three established bands still under his belt, already has a number of projects underway.
However, Slash stated that White nevertheless was hesitant to sing on the album.
"I wanted to get Jack White to sing on something, but he didn't want to sing," Slash told Musicradar.com. "He said I'll play drums, I'll play guitar, but I don't wanna sing. He was one guy that I wanted to work with. Pretty much everyone else that I went after I managed to get."
Additionally, Slash wrote via Twitter message that he hopes to have production of the album wrapped by November's end.
