Green Day Win Best Rock Artist at AMAs
Green Day took home the Favorite Alternative Rock Music Artist award at the 2009 American Music Awards over the weekend, marking the second time the band has won the honor.
The Berkeley punk trio previously won the same award in 2005. This year, however, Green Day added three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to their list of achievements. Included was a win for "Best Rock Video," with their clip for "21 Guns," the second single from their latest album 21st Century Breakdown.
