THE PEOPLE'S COOK-OFF

April 20 from 12noon-2pm @ LCCTC's Mount Joy Campus - 432 Old Market St. in Mount Joy

It will be:

Team Nipsey vs. Team Earl vs. Team Jen vs. Team Chris

with each team will consist of:

• One X Jock
• One LCCTC Culinary Student
• One Listener - One listener will be selected by each x jock, but that doesn't mean that's the team the listener will be working with.  The day of the event, the four qualifiers chosen by the jocks will be selected at random the day of the event to determine which team they will participate on.

The four culinary teams leading by The X Jocks will compete in the following two timed events:

• Cooking Competition- Each team station will include: 2 portable burners for cooking plus a pot of boiling water. Teams will also have access to a flat top grill, char-grill, and convection ovens. each have a basket containing the same ingredients. The jocks will only have a designated amount of time to use the ingredients to make four complete and identical dishes of food for the judges.
• Cake Decorating Competition- Each jock will be given a design that they will need to take that design and recreate it on a cake in the amount of time given.

JUDGING - The winner will be determined from a panel of LCCTC culinary judges from the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center Culinary school.

Since space is limited! The only way to attend this special event is by winning tickets! Listeners will be able to win a pair of tickets to the event and those who attend with have a exclusive chance to win some huge concert tickets including Halestorm at the York Fair, Hollywood Undead at Chameleon Club, other exclusive prizes, and everyone will automatically qualify for the X ALL ACCESS PASS (which is tickets to every Hershey rock show in 2013).

WIN A CDL/HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR COMBO COURSE SCHOLARSHIP WITH LCCTC - Don't miss a chance to win the prize that could CHANGE YOUR LIFE! A scholarship to LCCTC's CDL/Heavy Equipment Operator Combo course, which would give the winner 6 weeks in heavy Equipment training followed by 5 weeks of CDL training. That person would be certified in heavy equipment operation and have a class A CDL to be able to move equipment.

HAVE LUNCH AT THE PEOPLE'S COOK-OFF - Make sure you bring some money and have lunch with LCCTC while you're watching The People's Cook-Off on Saturday with all funds going back in to the Culinary Program at LCCTC. The Deli case will include: Pot Pie, Chili, Chicken Corn Noddle Soup, Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan! Plus, Buffalo Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Quesadilla, Gourmet Cheese Burger, Gourmet Grilled All-Beef Dogs, Chicken Salad Club Sandwich, Cobb Salad, Chili in a Toasted Grilled Bowl, Chicken Corn Noodle Soup, Loaded Fries and Basket of Onion Straws all on the Hot Off the Grill Menu! Don't forget about the gourmet coffee bar with espressos and cappuccinos! All very reasonably priced with the money going back in to the Culinary program.  *Only cash or check accepted.
