Jack Osbourne opened up emotionally in a heartfelt 16-minute YouTube video about coping with the loss of his father, Ozzy Osbourne, who died on July 22 at the age of 76. Jack said his kids’ unexpected stomach bug cancelled his family’s travel plans to Portugal, which allowed them to spend a week at the family home in England and bond with Ozzy following his final live performance at the historic Back to the Beginning concert. “It was awesome. My dad was in an amazing mood, he was really happy every day,” Jack recalled. “It was a lot of fun and I kind of look back on that now and I’m so grateful.” After going back to L.A. with his family, Jack described waking up to a knock on his door at 3:45 a.m. by a longtime employee of the family. “When I looked through my window and I saw it was him, I just knew something bad had happened,” Jack shared. “I was informed that my father had passed,” he said, fighting back tears, saying that he is thankful that “‘he’s [Ozzy] not suffering anymore, he’s not struggling, and that’s something. I wish he was still here. I wish he was still with us all, but he was having a rough go and I think people saw that at the show.” (Billboard)
