During an appearance on a recent episode of the podcast Queer the Music, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford revealed that he married his longtime partner, Thomas, last year in what he described as “a beautiful, simple ceremony.” The small wedding took place outside of the couple’s home in Phoenix, where they have lived for decades. Halford said that other than the officiant, the ceremony was attended by “two of my dearest friends, Jim Silvia, who was Priests’s [tour] manager forever, and his wife. There was just four of us around the pool, around the cactus, the heavy metal cactus. And it was over in an instant.” After over 35 years together, Halford shared how the idea of marriage had long been discussed, but only moved forward when Thomas suggested it during a nighttime walk, leading Halford to promptly arrange a pastor. Meanwhile, Judas Priest continues their co-headlining North American tour with Alice Cooper through late October. (Consequence of Sound)
